She was predeceased by: her parents, Chester H. Dennen and Julia Dennen (Swanson); her husband William S. Rafter, Jr.; her sisters, Janice D. Schrafft and Patricia D. Martin; her former husband Robert E. Foley Sr.; and her siblings-in-law, Philip O. Akerley, Thomas J. Martin and Jane Bradley.
She is survived by: her children, Robbie Foley (Christina McMahon Foley), Caitlin Foley Sumner (Brook), Sanford Rafter (Cassandra Kreitzberg) and Keeley Dennen Rafter; her siblings, Peter H. Dennen (Linda) and Marjorie D. Akerley; her sister-in-law Cathy Corbett (Frank) of Kittery, ME; her grandchildren, Keenan Foley (Emily), Hayden Foley (Natalie), Griffith Foley, Hannah Maki (Dylan), Charles, Beatrice Sumner, Billy and Jack Rafter; and her great grandchildren, Jillian, Malcolm, Arlen Foley and Rhys Maki. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Trinity Congregational Church (70 Middle St, Gloucester, MA 01930).
For many years, she successfully organized the American Cancer Society's Daffodil Days fundraiser.
