Christopher P. MacDonald Obituary
Christopher P. MacDonald, 59, of Gloucester, husband of NancyAnn (Curley) MacDonald, passed away on Thursday, August 6, 2026.
He was born in Gloucester, MA on November 13, 1966, son of Sylvia (Mackey) Knowles and the late Morrill MacDonald.
Chris was a graduate of Gloucester High School, Class of 1984 where he excelled in the Machine Shop leading him into the engineering field. He had many roles over his career, most notably at; EG&G in Salem, Bomco in Gloucester and most recently as the Quality Control Manager for M&H Engineering in Danvers.
Away from work, you could find him entertaining family and friends or having a cold beverage by the fire pit. He adored traveling with his wife and loved ones. He was a life-long New England Patriots fan and loved camping trips. Chris was a devoted supporter of veterans, fundraising and working at the VFW. He watched his son finish the 2026 Boston Marathon, which he was so proud of - along with everything his son did. He was the life of the party, beholding a contagious smile, and always ensuring others had the best time in his presence.
Chris will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years, NancyAnn MacDonald; his son, Christopher MacDonald Jr.; mother, Sylvia Knowles; brother, Richard MacDonald and wife Karen, brother, James MacDonald and wife Cheri; mother-in-law, Nancy Curley; sibling-in-laws, David Curley and wife Christine, Jon Curley and wife Madith, Steven Curley and wife Paula, MaryBeth (Curley) Stanton and husband William; cousin Susan Ellis, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his father, Morrill MacDonald; sister, Elizabeth Jackson; brother, Jonathan MacDonald; step-father, Donald Knowles; father-in-law, Hugh Curley and cousin, William Ellis.
Visiting hours will be held in the Greely Funeral Home, 212 Washington Street, Gloucester, on Friday, August 14, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. His. Funeral Service will be held at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 1123 Washington Street, Gloucester on Saturday, August 15, at 11a.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. Burial will be private.
