Dana L. Coull Obituary
Dana L. Coull, 81, of Gloucester, MA., and Lebanon, ME., passed away peacefully at his summer home surrounded by his family on September 6, 2023. Born in Lynn, MA., Dana moved to Gloucester with his parents, the late Robert H. Coull and Beatrice (Lewis) Coull, at age 3. A graduate of Gloucester HS and Burdett College, he worked in the office at Gorton's for over 40 years before retiring to spend more time with his wife and family.
Dana took great pride in watching his children's and grandchildren's sporting events. Dana enjoyed being civically engaged in Gloucester elections as warden for Ward 5 Precinct 2 for many years and in Lebanon participating in town council meetings.
Dana was happily married for 47 years to Patricia (Roche) Coull until her death in 2014. He greatly enjoyed taking pontoon boat sunset dinner cruises with friends and family.
He leaves behind his three children, Kathleen Hill and husband James of Farmington NH, Robert Coull and wife Jeannie of Escondido CA, and Thomas Coull of Lebanon ME; grandchildren, Peter, Karen, and Steven Ferrant, Katherine Gallagher and her husband Brenden, Tyler, Justin, Bailey, Wade, Wesley, Robbie, and Billy Coull. He is also survived by many cousins, and he was blessed with eleven beloved great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, his wife, and his grandson Wyatt Coull.
Visiting hours will be held in the Greely Funeral Home, 212 Washington Street, Gloucester, on Thursday, September 14, from 9:30-11a.m. with a service at 11a.m. Burial in Beechbrook Cemetery. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to a charity of one's choice.
