Davia R. Bader Obituary

Davia R. Bader, 29, of Gloucester, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 21, 2021, at Beverly Hospital.

She was born in Beverly, MA on December 17, 1992, daughter of Heidi Nunes and David Bader.

Davia was a graduate of North Shore Technical High School and life-long resident of Gloucester. She worked for Dunkin Donuts, Avnet (an electronics component company with an office in Andover, MA), the Mile Marker and later at Honey Dew in Beverly.

She had a great love for her dogs, enjoyed going to the beach and had a passion for horse-back riding. She had a strong creative side and often expressed herself through her art. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Davia's radiant smile was captivating, making her easy to love, and if she liked you, she loved you and she would be your friend no matter the circumstances. But her true strength was in her love for her sisters and family – in her early years, Davia's older sisters Vanessa and Samantha were her guiding lights; once Alexandria came into the world, Davia got her own chance to be a big sister, a job she absolutely relished in taking on the role of looking out for "the baby", and forever becoming "Deedah".

Davia is survived by her mother, Heidi Nunes and her husband Kevin; her father, David Bader; sisters, Vanessa Cream and her husband Matthew and their children, Samantha Harrington and her husband Tyler and their daughter, and Alexandria ("the baby") Nunes; paternal grandparents, Barbara and David Bader; her boyfriend, Travis Maxner; and many aunts, uncles and cousins who loved her dearly.

She was predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Gordon Anderson Sr. and his wife Dorothy and her cousin, Brietanya Anderson.

Her visiting hours will be held in the Greely Funeral Home, 212 Washington Street, Gloucester on Thursday, December 30, 2021, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. A Celebration of Life will be held on a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Davia's name to the American Liver Foundation at https://liverfoundation.org.

The family would also like to extend its sincerest thanks and warmest wishes to the doctors, nurses, respiratory therapists, CNAs and staff of Beverly Hospital for their commitment and the incredible level of care provided to Davia.
