David C. Figueiredo Obituary

David C. Figueiredo, 51, of Gloucester, husband of Maria C. (Nunes) Figueiredo, passed away at Lahey Medical Center in Burlington after a brief illness.

David was born in Somerville, MA on July 11, 1970 to proud parents of Jacinto Cabral and Maria Jose Figueiredo.

He graduated from Cambridge Catholic School and furthered his education at Wentworth Institute of Technology, receiving his bachelor's degree in engineering. He most recently was working for XP Power located in Magnolia.

David enjoyed playing in a band for many years. He was a beloved member of the Portuguese community, specifically, the D.E.S in Gloucester and the Imperio Mariense De Saugus. Some of his favorite activities included riding his motorcycle, Bertha, taking care of his turtle, Snappy, an watching sunsets with his wife.

He is survived by his wife Maria; step daughters Ashley Nunes and Kaitlin Marques; his son Matthew Figueiredo and daughter Alyssa Figueiredo; sisters Diane Fernandes and her husband Joe; niece Isabel Fernandes and nephew Robert Fernandes.

Visiting hours will be held in the Greely Funeral Home, 212 Washington St. Gloucester on Thursday, February 24, 2022, from 8:30-10:30 am. His mass will follow and be celebrated in Our Lady of Good Voyage Church, 60 Prospect St. Gloucester and all attendees are requested to wear masks. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
