Domenic Palazzolo Obituary

Domenic Palazzolo, 77, of Gloucester, passed away peacefully on September 5, 2023, at Seacoast Nursing Home, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Christine Militello Palazzolo.

Domenic was born in Terrasini, Sicily on January 1, 1946, to the late Carlo & Francesca (Zito) Palazzolo. Domenic attended schools in Terrasini. He came to Gloucester in 1977, where he began working as a fisherman on the F/V Maureen, and later worked as a landscaper. Domenic enjoyed gardening and cooking. He loved the beach and traveling to Florida.

Domenic is survived by three sons, Carlo and his girlfriend Ali Ginn; Sandy and his girlfriend Lauren McDonald; and Domenic and his fiancé Melissa DiMercurio; and his granddaughter Gwen Palazzolo, whom he adored.

Domenic is survived by his by his brothers Giuseppe Palazzolo, Salvatore and his wife Rosemarie. His sister in laws, Faye Pavia, wife of Andrew, Geri Parisi, wife of Tony, and Kathy Numerosi, wife of Frank, and sister-in-law Maria Teresa Palazzolo.

He is predeceased by his in-laws Santo & Rosalie Militello, his brothers Pasquale and his wife Caterina, Gasper and his wife Lia and Rosario. He was also predeceased by his sister-in-law Jenifer Palazzolo, wife of Giuseppe, and brother-in-law Anthony Militello.

The family would like to thank the staff at Seacoast Nursing home and Care Dimension for their care of Domenic.

Visiting hours will be held Monday, September 11, from 9-11a.m. in the Our Lady of Good Voyage Church, 142 Prospect Street, Gloucester followed by Mass at 11a.m. Burial will be private. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Arrangements by the Greely Funeral Home, 212 Washington Street, Gloucester.
