Donna E. Lok Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Donna E. (Brown) Lok who passed away at the age of 80 on April 26, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Gloucester on February 8, 1945, she was the cherished daughter of the late Estelle (Darcy) Campbell & Ralph K Brown. She was a loving Mother, Grandmother, Aunt & Friend whose warmth and generosity touched everyone she met. She will truly be missed by all who loved her. Donna graduated from Gloucester High School Class of 1963. In her earlier years she worked at local favorites, the Dolphin restaurant, Chinaport, the Depot and her later years at Addison Gilbert Hospital.
Above all Donna loved her children & grandchildren, and they will forever treasure the love she had for them. She found joy in life's simple pleasures; camping, going to Good Harbor Beach & sitting peacefully on The Boulevard, always reminding others that there was no place more beautiful than her beloved hometown, Gloucester. An exceptional cook, Donna was known for her famous potato salad, fried rice & clam dip - dishes that were staples at countless family gatherings. She especially loved the holidays celebrating with laughter, warmth and an abundance of delicious food.
Christmas was her favorite time of the year - she loved buying and wrapping gifts for everyone she loved. Donna adored her grandchildren and was always ready for an adventure – whether that meant riding rollercoasters or joining them in making TikTok videos, where she made her playful social media debut. Her great sense of humor, infectious laughter and love for all kinds of music made her a joy to be around. Anyone who knew Donna knew of her deep affection for dogs and animals, who were as much a part of her family as anyone else.
She is survived by her loving children, Kelly Aiello and her husband Joe, Mandy Lok-Mano and her husband Lou, Chad Lok and his wife Kristin; her beloved grandchildren, Tyler Conigliari, Jayla-Lok Price, Taiya Mano, Logan & Drew Lok, Chris Mano, Samantha Aiello, Stacey Capone and her husband Frank & their children Aliyah & Anthony. She is also survived by her sister, Bonnie Wright; her niece, Kelly Brown Mitchell with whom she shared a special & cherished relationship, Kelly's husband Mike Mitchell; nephews, Michael Brown, Jon Kelly & Matthew Wright; her Bestie, Kathy Ernest; dear friends, Diane Muise & Beverly Lopes and her adored fur grandbabies – Bailey, Maggie & Jazzy.
Donna was predeceased by her mother & stepfather, Estelle & Willam "Eliot" Campbell and her father, Ralph K Brown; her beloved son, Daniel T Gallant; her fiancé, Robert Genest; her brother, Ralph K. Brown Jr. & sister-in-law, Sally (Gillis) Brown; her cherished dogs, Nicco & Bella and her fur grandbabies, Jake & Ophelia. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the amazing staff at Ledgewood Rehabilitation and Nursing Home for the love and exceptional care they showed our mother during her lengthy stay.
The love and friendship she received from all of you made an immense difference in her life and in ours as well. We will forever be grateful to all of you. Visiting Hours will be held in the Greely Funeral Home, 212 Washington Street, Gloucester, MA on Saturday, May 10, 2025, from 8:00-9:30 am followed by a Mass celebrated at St Ann's Church, Holy Family Parish at 10:00 am. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. Contributions can be made in Donna's name to the Activities Group at Ledgewood Rehabilitation and Nursing Home, 87 Herrick St, Beverly, MA 01915.
The work they do is unmeasurable and adds so much enjoyment to the residence at Ledgewood.
