Edward C. Amazeen Obituary

Edward C. Amazeen, 65, of Gloucester husband of Nancy J. (Gamradt) Amazeen passed away peacefully on Monday, April 22, 2024, at the Beverly Hospital in Beverly.

He was born in Gloucester, MA on December 18, 1958, son of the late Donald and Bette (Herrick) Amazeen.

Ed was educated in the Gloucester School System. He was a self-employed mason and carpenter. He also worked for Von Rosenvinge Rigging then later worked for the Town of Rockport Department of Public Works.

He enjoyed watching Westerns, was an avid pool player and loved to play horseshoes at the Gloucester Fraternity Club.

Ed was a member of the VFW where he loved his golf trips with his friends. In his younger years Ed loved playing hockey with his Lanesville buddies. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy J Amazeen; 2 sisters, Judith Hale, Cynthia Justice, and her husband Philip; brother, Stephen Amazeen, and his wife Patrica; stepsister, Holly Amaral along with 4 stepchildren, many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was predeceased by his sister, Alice Amazeen; brother, Peter Amazeen and his stepmother, Nancy Amazeen.

In abiding by Ed's wishes there will be no visiting hours and the burial will be held privately.
