Frank Hart Obituary

Frank "Cecil" Hart, age 82 of Gloucester, passed away peacefully at his home with Matt and Carolyn at his bedside on Wednesday, September 16th, 2026. He was the son of Chester Hart and Sarah Byard and the grandson of Nathaniel and Maude Hart.

Cecil was a simple man who enjoyed many hobbies. He loved taking his wife Ramona for rides on his Harley as much as he loved his red Dodge Ram. If he wasn't hanging out at Dunks or North Shore Scrap and Steel, you'd find him in his garage hacking something on his red truck. Cecil loved fishing just as much. He was the captain and owner of his beloved boat, "The Comet", for many years. You could always count on Cecil for a good laugh.

Cecil is survived by his two sons, Darren and his wife Alisha of Gloucester; Matthew and his wife Carolyn of Gloucester; one daughter, Lisa of Andover; his brother Nathaniel and his wife Gloria of South Hamilton; his brother Charlie of Gloucester; his sister Mary Ann and her husband Gene of Gloucester; eight grandchildren, Christopher, Darrien, Freddy, Haley, Kyle, Jesse, Jamie, Jereme and great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Ramona, his son, Christopher, his daughter, Chara, and his four sisters, Betty, Helen, Jackie and Jean.

A graveside service will be held in Beechbrook Cemetery, Gloucester, on Saturday, September, 26, 2026 at 10:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Cape Ann Animal Aid, 4 Paws Lane, Gloucester, MA 01930.
