George E. Drohan Jr. Obituary
George E. Drohan Jr., 59, of Gloucester passed away on Tuesday, December 26, 2023, at Melrose Wakefield Hospital with his family by his side.
He was born in Gloucester on April 25, 1964, the son of George E. Drohan Sr. and the late Anne N. (Cummings) Drohan.
George attended Gloucester Public Schools. Special Needs Program. He also enjoyed going to Day-by-Day Adult Day Care Program and especially going to the Special Needs dances at the Gloucester Fraternity Club.
He enjoyed swimming, bowling, 4 wheeling with his sister but most of all going out with his father, George, to Charlie's Place and the Elks. George loved watching Scooby Doo, Weekend Creature Double Feature marathons, being the victim of millions of Georgie's Count Dracula scenes not to mention the countless hours spent playing Wizard of Oz and listening to the Monkey's.
George is survived by his father, George E. Drohan; sister, Kelly Drohan Ward; nieces, Kahsha Ward Coplin and Kaylie Jo Ward; great-niece, Kyleigh Coplin; his favorite neighbors, the Harmon Family and dear family friends, Pamela Parsons, and Kyle Quinn.
He was predeceased by his 2 besties, Janice Cook and Russell Majors.
Visiting hours in the Greely Funeral Home, 212 Washington Street, Gloucester will be held on Friday, January 5, 2023, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.
His Memorial Mass will be celebrated in St. Ann's Church, Holy Family Parish on Saturday, January 6, 2023, at 11:00 a.m.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend.
Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Gloucester, MA.
