Grace M. Favaloro Obituary
Grace M. (Curcuru) Favaloro, 97, wife of the late Vito A. Favaloro, passed away on December 1, 2025, surrounded by her family. She had been married for 64 years.
She was born in Gloucester, MA on May 7, 1928, daughter of the late Joseph and Angela (Nicastro) Curcuru. She was 1 of 13 children for whom she organized family get togethers.
Grace was a graduate of Gloucester High school. She worked at the Gloucester High School Cafeteria.
She loved being with her children (5), grandchildren (12), great-grandchildren (15).
She enjoyed cooking, especially on Christmas Eve for the family. She also liked going to the beach with her sisters, trips with her husband, playing 31 with the extra quarter, poker with an ace under her sleeve and playing Bingo and Cribbage at St. Ann's and the Senior Center with her sisters and friends. She played in a bowling league and belonged to Seafood Retirees and the Mother of Grace Club and a member of St. Ann Parish.
She is going to be missed by all that knew her!Grace is survived by her children, Tony (Linda) Favaloro, Josie (Mark) Houde, Joseph (Angela) Favaloro, Michael (Susan) Favaloro, and Peter (Dorinda) Favaloro; grandchildren, David Favaloro, Karen Whitcomb, Scott and Nathan Houde, Kara Hopping, Matthew Favaloro, Kristina Favaloro, Shawna and Ryan Favaloro, Dan, Jeff and Sherri Favaloro and 15 great-grandchildren; sisters, Phillippena Souza and Rosalie Genovese; brothers, Joseph (Turk) and Grace Curcuru, Benny and Debbie Curcuru, Anthony and Jean Curcuru; sister-in-law, Beverly Curcuru, Joyce Curcuru and Cheena Favaloro.
She was predeceased by her siblings, Sammy Curcuru and his wife Antoinetta (Claire), John Curcuru, James Curcuru, Philip Curcuru, Philomena and her husband Vito Misuraca, Felicia and her husband Nutzie Aiello; brothers-in-law, Claude Souza, Anthony Genovese, Jennie Mckinnon and Jennie (Aiello) Curcuru.
She also had many godchildren.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday, December 5, 2025, from 8:30-10:00 a.m. at St. Ann's Church, Holy Family Parish, 74 Pleasant Street. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend.
