James R. Hurst Obituary

He was predeceased by: his parents, John W. Hurst and Mary Hurst (Cavanaugh); his siblings, Mary Muise, Patricia Johnson, Judy Cocoran and John Hurst; and his mother-in-law Kit Abrahamson.

He is survived by: his friend John Borge; his wife Janice F. Hurst (Abrahamson); his children, James Hurst Jr. (Lise), Keri Russo (Peter), Bethany Hurst (Brett O'Neal) and Jill Maguire (John Naves); his grandchildren, Katie, Emily, Megan and Peter Russo; his sister Shirley Moore; and his sister-in-law Nancy Santos (Joe). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

His Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Ann's Church, Holy Family Parish on Friday, September 3, 2021, at 10:00 a. m. Visiting hours in the Greely Funeral Home, 212 Washington Street, Gloucester will be held on Thursday, September 2, from 4:00 to 8:00 p. m. All attendees are requested to wear face coverings and practice social distancing during both visiting hours and at Mass.
