Jason Polisson Obituary
Jason Polisson, 72, of Gloucester, husband of the late Pamela Dorman Polisson, died Saturday November 15th, 2025, in Beverly, MA.
Jason was born on May 4th, 1953, in Gloucester, son of the late George and Ellen (Keating) Polisson. Jason attended Gloucester schools. He grew up in Lanesville and lived there most of his life. Jason was a lifelong commercial lobsterman, in his early years fishing out of Lanes Cove. He owned and operated the F/V Rhumboogie out of Pigeon Cove Harbor, Rockport until his retirement at which time his grandson Colby took over the business. Jason remained a shore captain, building traps and could often be found working in his shack in Pigeon Cove. He loved Harley-Davidsons and enjoyed spending time with friends on Sunday rides. Jason shared a special bond with his grandson Colby, taking him out lobstering when he was just 10 years old.
Jason is survived by his daughter Efi, and son in law, Steven Wilkins of Peabody, three grandsons: his caregiver, Colby Enslow of Gloucester, Nikos Wilkins of Miami, Florida and Christos Wilkins of Peabody, his brother Michael "Geo" Polisson of Rockport, niece Lindsay Polisson of Gloucester and his nephew George (Kelly) Polisson II of Hamilton, and his "sister" Judy Cooney of Rockport.
In keeping with Jason's wishes, there will be no visiting hours or services. His ashes will be scattered at sea in Plum Cove in the spring.
Memorial contributions can be made in his name to: The Cape Ann Animal Aid Association, 4 Paws Lane, Gloucester, MA 01930.
