She was predeceased by: her husband Arthur W. "Willie" Duchane; her parents, J. Edgar Bouchie and Grace Bouchie (Goyetche); and her friend Jeanne Cairns. She is survived by: her friends, Kathleen O'Leary, Suzanne McCalla, Suellen Helie and Shally Williams; her sons, Robert, Roger and Richard Duchane; her grandchildren, Nicole, Kaylee, Tanya, Kelly Duchane and Alex Duchane; her siblings, Jean Tryon of Barrington, RI and E. Sherman Bouchie; her brother-in-law Roger McPherson of Gloucester; her aunt Norma; and her uncle Alan Munroe. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Social distancing and face coverings are required. Her mass will be celebrated privately in Our Lady of Good Voyage Church.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to: Our Lady of Good Voyage Church, 142 Prospect St. Gloucester, MA 01930.

“Bob, Roger, Rick, our daughter just sent us your mom’s Obituary. I happened to have a photo of her on my phone so I sent it to the site. I hope you are doing well. I’m sorry I haven’t been in touch I have been working remotely for the last three months from dawn to dusk 7 days a week. I have had you in my thoughts and especially the nice card you sent Roger. I will keep it always. I hope we see all of you this summer to make a toast to what a great lady your mom Joan was and her brother. Nadine”
