Kevin M. Thompson Obituary
Kevin M. Thompson, 65, of Gloucester passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, April 19, 2025. Born on October 12, 1959, to the late John "Jack" Thompson and Alice M. (Brown) Thompson.
He attended Gloucester public schools and with no surprise due to his gregarious personality was given the title of class President, where his main slogan was: "This is Kevin Thompson" and that's all that was needed to be said to claim the victory.
Kevin later became a self-employed longshoreman at various cold storages. His job and passion for social connection brought him the opportunity to do one of many things he loved: share his gift of gab with everyone who had the pleasure to cross his path and vice versa. Speaking of things he loved; Kevin adored his family and friends. During his conversations, he would often mention them reminding us of all what a family man he was.
He was the 5th child born along with his brothers and sisters, Sandra Ciaramitaro, John "Jay" Thompson, Walter Thompson, Mary-Ellen Thompson- Mitchinson, Jordan Thompson, Manny Sylvia and the baby of the bunch, Kandy Thompson.
He is survived by Kandy and Mary-Ellen, along with his many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins. Throughout his life, he had a multitude of amazing friends from near and far, including but not limited to the friends he remained extremely close to until his passing, such as Ralph Pierce and Edward Pasquina.
Kevin stood through many trials and tribulations in life, but never forgetting to put love, laughter, friendships, and family above all. He will be greatly missed by many.
He is predeceased by his brothers, Manny Sylvia, John "Jay" Thompson, Walter Thompson, Jordan Thompson and sister, Sandra Ciaramitaro.
There will be no formal services.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, May 15, 2025, at the Gloucester Fraternity Club from 5pm-8pm. All friends and family are invited to attend and celebrate a beautiful life lived.
