Marion C. Bachry Obituary
Marion C. Bachry "Mimi", of Manchester-by-the-Sea, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 14, 2025 at the age of 95. Born on November 1, 1930 in West Hazleton, Pennsylvania, she attended Cranberry Elementary School and Hazle Township High School. Marion left during her junior year to become a nanny in San Francisco, California, where she also attended Galileo High School. Her journey later took her to Staten Island, New York, where she worked as a model and continued her career as a nanny, providing nurturing care to children she had immense love for. She then moved to New England, where she continued that care with a family in Prides Crossing. After moving to Manchester-by-the-sea, Marion met Walter J. Bachry on Singing Beach, and the two married soon after. They settled on Summer Street near Black Beach, where they raised eight children. Marion adored the community and considered Manchester-by-the-Sea her lifelong home.
Treasured her family in Pennsylvania, and her eight children, 13 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren, with one more on the way. She loved music, especially Elvis Presley and Josh Groban. She enjoyed watching sports, particularly Patriots football and cherished Tom Brady. Marion found great joy in nature's beauty, beaches, birds, and flowers. She painted endlessly, and the love she carried was evident in every work of art. Marion was loved by all who were blessed to have her in their life and will be deeply missed. Funeral services will be private with a burial at a later date.
