Mark T. Moceri Obituary

Mark T. Moceri, 34, of Gloucester, passed away on Wednesday, November 3, 2021.
He was born in Gloucester on August 7, 1987, son of Matteo Moceri and Joan (Beebe) Moceri. When he was a young child, he loved going to parks in Florida with his mom and dad. He would go on the scariest rides by himself because we were all too frightened to go on with him. Once on the highest sled ride in the park, he climbed up the walkway by himself. You could see Mark at age 5 climbing to the top looking smaller and smaller as he went up. When at the top he took only a second to build up courage enough to slide down the ride. When at the bottom, he said it was no big deal!
Mark loved music and was a talented guitar player. He was also interested in astronomy, often nights gazing at the stars with his telescope. He had a passion for freshwater fishing. Once while vacationing on the Cape, he used a stick, a piece of string hung it from a bush and safety pin to catch a fish with his friend. He spent time hiking and camping in Dogtown common and if nobody would join him, he would go by himself. He told us stories of how the animals would surround his camp site making noises which would keep him from falling asleep.
Mark is survived by his father, Matt and mother, Joan; sister, Kristen (Moceri) Shea; brother, Matt Moceri Jr. and Michael Moceri; three nieces and nephews, Amber Stewart, Brandon Stewart and Matthew Moceri. He was kind, considerate, loving and trusting to a fault and will be greatly missed!
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date to be announced.
