Mary J. Piscitello Obituary
Mary J. (deLima) Piscitello, 80, of Gloucester, wife of Bartolo "Bart" Piscitello passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at her residence.
She was born in Faial, Azores, on July 8, 1945, daughter of the late Jose and Maria (Goulart) deLima.
Mary was a graduate of Gloucester High School, Class of 1963. She worked for Shaw's in the produce section and later she worked with her daughter and granddaughter at Jenny Cakes as a baker.
She enjoyed going on cruises and to Disney where she loved seeing baby Yoda and Chewbacca, those where her favorites characters of all.
Mary was a member of the DES Club and of the Our Lady of Good Voyage Church Guild.
She was all about family and loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren very much.
Mary is survived by her husband of 59 years, Bart Piscitello; her son, Bart Piscitello Jr.; her daughter, Jennifer Strangman; grandchildren, Melissa Babine and her husband Matthew, Drew Strangman and his fiancé Eleanor Williams and Logan Strangman; great-grandchildren, Annabella Babine and Kayden Babine; her sisters, Fatima Lourenco, Rosemarie deLima, Conceicao "Connie" Enos and her husband Steven; her sisters-in-law, Frances Grace, Marie Hunter, Virginia DeVeau and her husband David: brothers-in-law, Richard Tarr, Frank Piscitello and Katherine Chapman; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her grandson, Noah Strangman; brother, Jose deLima Jr.; in laws, Santa Piscitello and her husband John, Eleanora Tarr, George Grace, Donald Hunter and Jose Lourenco.
Her visiting hours will be held in the Greely Funeral Home, 212 Washington Street, Gloucester on Saturday, December 6, from 9:00 – 10:30 a.m. followed by a Mass celebrated in Our Lady of Good Voyage Church at 11:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Gloucester.
