Nancy L. Martin Obituary

Nancy L. Martin, 86, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 21, 2021, at her home in Annisquam.

She was born in Pittsburg, PA, on December 22, 1934, daughter of the late Paul and Harriet Martin. She was a graduate of the Winston Thurston School in Pittsburg, PA, in 1952, and attended Cornell University in Ithica, NY.

Nancy had a lifelong passion for wildlife and was an avid birdwatcher. Through the years, Nancy surrounded herself with many beloved furry and feathered friends.

Nancy had a talent for numbers, which she generously shared within the community, volunteering as bookkeeper for several local charitable organizations.

A loving mother and grandmother, Nancy is survived by her son, Kjell G. Tornberg and his wife Arline, of Moorestown, NJ; son, Anders and his wife Melanie, of Bethel, Maine, and daughter, Annalisa of Annisquam; grandchildren, Artemis Tornberg of Portsmouth, NH, Christopher Trupiano, Jr., of Annisquam, Leif Tornberg of Denver, Colorado, Thor Tornberg of Sanford, ME, Britta Tornberg of Austen, TX, Gunnar Tornberg of Annisquam, Gunther Tornberg of Moorestown, NH; and great-grandson, Christopher Trupiano III, of Annisquam; her brother, Jack Martin of Nashua, NH and her sister, Peggy Willmann of Lincoln and Annisquam; and many nieces and nephews.

The family will hold a private service in keeping with Nancy's wishes.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her name to the Annisquam Village Hall Association, 128 Leonard Street, Gloucester, MA 01930.
