Paul F. Marino Obituary
Paul Francis Marino, 60, of Gloucester, sadly passed away after a lengthy illness on November 29, 2025.
Born in Gloucester, MA on April 23, 1965, he was the son of Patricia Marino of Ipswich, MA and the late Anthony J. Marino.
He went to Gloucester public schools and graduated from Gloucester High School in 1984. For most of his adult life he worked for Scott Oil Company as an oil burner technician, which he took considerable pride in. Many remember Paul as their oil burner guy, but he was also a very gifted mechanic, plumber, welder, and electrician. He excelled in all these fields.
Paul also had a great love of the ocean and had salt water in his veins. He bought a small dragger, the Susan B, and loved going out on the ocean fishing for lobster, cod, and haddock. He was truly at home in the ocean.
He leaves behind his former wife, Joanne and four children, Jennifer Curley and her husband Christian of South Windsor, CT, Paul Marino Jr. of Gloucester, MA, Katelyn Deschene of Middleton, MA, and Grace Marino of Gloucester, MA. He is also survived by his six grandchildren whom he deeply loved, Emma, Lillian, and Christian Curley, and Dylan, Mari, and Chase Deschene.
He is survived by his mother, Patricia Marino; brother, Anthony Marino Jr. and his wife Cheryl of Chelmsford, MA; Richard Marino and his wife, Maggie of DeLeon Springs, FL; Carlene Marino of Gloucester, MA; and Robert Marino and his wife Kate of Ipswich, MA. He also leaves behind his nieces and nephews, Anthony, Christopher, Allyssa, Alaina, Alexandra, and Violet.
Paul also leaves behind his very best friend and caregiver Leah Livingston, who truly gave her all when it came to providing him with the BEST care and companionship. She truly was the glue that held Paul together for the last 17 years. Our family is so very thankful to her for all she has done and continues to do.
Funeral services and a Celebration of Life will be held in January. Date and time will be announced.
