Peggy A. Elwell Obituary
Peggy Elwell passed away Christmas morning, December 25, 2025, at the Oceanside Nursing Center in Rockport. Born in Beverly on February 14, 1950, to the late Leonardo and Hazel (Foster) Sinagra. She was the beloved wife of the late George Elwell Jr.
Peggy worked many years at her parent's pizza shop, Leo's Pizza in Gloucester. She also worked many years at Strong Leather until her retirement. She enjoyed being with family and friends, taking rides and going shopping, playing Left Right Center with her friends and sitting outside.
She is survived by her two daughters, Lisa Melanson and her husband Carl of Gloucester and Jennifer Elwell of Gloucester and son-in-law Bert Kiff of Gloucester, as well as eight grandchildren, Cody, Caitlyn and Cailey Melanson, Taylor and Karolyne Bigelow and Zachary Elwell all of Gloucester, Carter and Sam Kiff and partner Cassie Lebeau of Salem; sister-in-law, Donna Brown; and brother-in-law, Ronald Brown of Rockport, as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her daughter, Annmarie Kiff.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at 12noon in Calvary Cemetery, Gloucester. All are invited to attend.
