Philip J. Consiglio Obituary
Philip J. Consiglio, 84, of Gloucester, husband of the late Gail P. (Edgecomb) Consiglio, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 15, 2021, at the Beverly Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Gloucester, MA on August 10, 1937 son of the late Frank Consiglio and Rose (Linquata) Consiglio
Philip left school at a tender age to help provide for his family as a Fishermen where he worked on the boat the Mary Ann with his father. He was once a proud owner of a favorite local bar known as the Old Timers, where he enjoyed reminiscing about the good old days. Phil then went on to own his own successful construction company Sheet Metal Construction where he worked until he retired.
He loved sitting on the boulevard with his coffee and spending time with his late son Frank.
Phil's house was always filled with family and friends, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He enjoyed bossing his daughter Debbie around in the kitchen to make sure he passed down his passion for a good, cooked meal.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Phil is survived by his daughters, Selena Robbins and her husband Blaine, Francine Consiglio, Deborah Townsend and her husband Chuck; grandchildren, Heather LaCroix and her husband Nick, Kristina Jacobs and her husband Matthew, Brian Robbins and his fiancé Kelsey, Rosalie Consiglio and her partner Adam and Frankie Consiglio: great-grandchildren, Maya Curran, Matthew Jacobs Jr., Harper Gail and Felix Charles, along with many other nieces and nephews who all loved him dearly
He is also survived by his sister, Mildred Leveille; his best friend of 75 years like a brother to him, Beenie Nicastro and was predeceased by his sister, Geraldine Cox.
His Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 22, 2021, in Our Lady of Good Voyage Church at 12 noon. All attendees are required to wear face coverings during the Mass.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P.O. Box 50, Memphis, TN 38101.
