Rosa Ciolino Obituary
Rosa Ciolino 85, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, May 8, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was the daughter of the late Nicolo and Angela (Ciaramitaro) Ciolino.
Born in Terrasini, Sicily, March 5, 1941, she was the fifth child out of seven children. She arrived in the United States in 1968 at the age of 24. She worked as a seamstress for Mighty-Mac then worked in the fishing industry for many years. Rosa loved spending time with her family and baking. She was known for her amazing seamstress skills, as well as mastering traditional Sicilian baking recipes passed on by many generations before her. Rosa was a kind, gentle, generous, loving person who always put others before herself.
Rosa is survived by her sisters, Graziella Ingrassia of Terrasini, Agatha Moceri, and Maria Ciolino both of Gloucester; as well as many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Rosa was predeceased by her two brothers, Antonio & Carlo Ciolino, and one sister Antonia Indelicato; nephews, Sebastian Moceri, Nicola Ingrassia, and Nicholas LoGrasso; and her niece, Angela Ciolino.
A visitation will be held on Friday, June 26, 2026, from 10-11:30AM immediately followed by a service in the Greely Funeral Home, 212 Washington Street, Gloucester. Burial will take place in Calvary Cemetery. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend.
