It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ruth M. Viator of Gloucester, Massachusetts, who passed away on April 20, 2021, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Julia Amero (Mitchell) and Stanford Owen Amero; her former husband Joseph Viator; her children, Joseph Viator III of Gloucester, Stanford Owen Viator (Paula), Julieann Metcalf (Matthew) of Rockport and Loriann Viator (Stephen Smith) of Gloucester; her grandchildren, Garry Hutchings Jr., Jessica, Jacqueline, Jamie Viator, Emerald Rae Forman and Eden Pool; her cousins, Renee and Babe Duwart; her sister-in-law Edith Dulong; her husband Walter Cunningham; and her sister Julia "Sis" Goulart. She was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.

Her visitation and Mass will be held privately. A Graveside Service will be held in Calvary Cemetery on Friday, April 23, 2021 at 11:45 a. m. All attendees are required to wear face coverings and practice social distancing.
