Sharon E. Kinghorn Obituary

Sharon Elizabeth (Silva) Kinghorn 72, of Gloucester wife of Robert Kinghorn passed peacefully away Thursday March 28, following a brief Illness.

Sharon was born on July 5, 1951, in Gloucester, MA to the late Augustus and Helen (Perry) Silva.

Sharon was a graduate of GHS class of '69. From there she went to fulfill her dream of becoming a nurse. She was a well-known nurse in the operating room, starting at Addison Gilbert Hospital welcoming any patient that needed her assistance with a smile and a warm welcome, making sure everyone was taken care of. Moving her way up the chain, she became nurse manager and was moved over to Beverly Hospital, where she became one of the best managers to work for. She would even be found tap dancing in the hallways of the hospital. Sharon was a lover of everything from the Boston Red Sox to the New England Patriots, watching any game she could. While enjoying her time with friends and family, her real pride and joy was her grandson Cody, who she adored every second she could get. While taking him to swimming classes, or out to breakfast at the Depot Diner, she and he would have several adventures together.

She is survived by her loving family, Robert Kinghorn who shared 42 loving married years together; a beloved mother to Michael R. Kinghorn and longtime partner Amy Kenny of Rockport, MA and daughter, Robyn E. (Kinghorn) Anderson and her husband Kurtis Anderson of Boxford, MA; amazing grandmother to grandson, Cody R. Anderson in addition to several nieces, nephews with being a great aunt to several.
