Sheila A. Gray Obituary
Sheila A. Gray, 87, passed away Friday, August 11, 2023, at the Oceanside Center in Hampton, N.H.
Born in Gloucester on January 18, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Russell G. Gray and Frances W. Gray.
Sheila attended St. Ann's school and Gloucester High School with the class of 1955.
Like many other Gloucester residents, she worked on fish during her teen years. After high school, she moved to Seattle, Washington, became a CNA and worked in nursing homes taking care of the elderly. She returned to Gloucester in the '70s and subsequently moved to Seabrook, New Hampshire where she developed a strong connection over many years with the Healing Rain Ministries. Many people benefited from her generous nature and her support for the lost, homeless, hungry, and needy. She was always a firecracker, liked to have fun, and loved to make other people laugh.
She was predeceased by her son Keith A. Gray, her sister Beverly A. (Gray) Movalli of Beverly, MA, and her brother Robert A. Gray of New York City.
She is survived by her sister, Frances A. (Gray) Parisi, wife of the late Nicholas P. Parisi of Gloucester; her niece and nephews Nick Parisi, Mark Parisi, Carl Parisi; Debi (Movalli) Lopes, Michael Movalli, and Brian Movalli; and many grand-nieces and grand-nephews. She is also survived by her special friends Anna Randall, Kathleen Tavares, Stacey Knowles, Marlene, and Billy Mitchell; all of New Hampshire.
Her funeral service will be held in the Greely Funeral Home, 212 Washington Street, Gloucester on Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at 11 A.M. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 10 to 11 A.M. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend.
