Stephen M. Nickerson Obituary
Stephen M. Nickerson, 43, of Gloucester, husband of Amanda H. (Favaloro) Nickerson passed away on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers, surrounded by his loving family, following a long battle with cancer.
He was born in Stoneham, MA on October 11, 1978, son of Roy C. and Patricia E. (Nims) Nickerson. He grew up in Hillsboro then Nashua and resided in Gloucester.
Steve had worked as an LNA for many years, having a very compassionate nature. He then was employed at Health Care Administrative Partners. Steve loved the woods, hiking, fishing, and camping with both his friends and his family. He also loved his retro video games, playing magic cards and most of all, spending time with his wife Amanda and his son, Aidan.
Steve is survived by his wife, Amanda H. (Favaloro) Nickerson and their son, Aidan A. Nickerson of Gloucester, MA, his parents, Patricia Ellen (Nims) Nickerson and Roy Clayton Nickerson both of Deerfield, NH; sister, Laura Jean Nickerson of Deerfield, NH; uncle Steve and auntie Eileen Nims of Stoneham; uncle Dave and auntie Dale Nims of Laconia, NH; cousins, Kelsey Lewis, Briana Henderson and Sarah Pompey.
He was predeceased by his grandparents, Herbert and Hazel Nims and Frederick and Hazel Nickerson.
There are no visiting hours. His service will be held on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at 11 a.m. in the Cape Ann Bible Church, 8 Thompson Street, Gloucester, MA. Family and friends are cordially invited. His burial will follow in Dolliver Memorial Cemetery on Lincoln St. in West Gloucester. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the: Stephen Nickerson Memorial, in care of Bank Gloucester, 160 Main St. Gloucester, MA 01930, to benefit his son, Aidan's future education. Arrangements are by the Greely Funeral Home, 212 Washington St. Gloucester.
