Thomas D. Novak Obituary
Tommy Novak loved Gloucester, and he loved every one of you who befriended, supported and cared for him in his lifetime of challenges. Tom passed away peacefully at home on March 28, surrounded by his sister Chris and his adoring Northeast ARC caregivers. His deep faith and visits from the Rockport Baptist Church ensured he was not afraid, and he looked forward to seeing Jesus, his parents, and departed family dogs in Heaven. Tommy is now with them, dining on ice cream and Lobsta Land coconut shrimp while bowling candlepins for eternity (STRIKE!!). In Heaven, all of Tom's disabilities have fallen away, but his joyful smile humor and sensitivity will be with us always (THUMBS UP!!). Tommy is predeceased by his parents Joyce and Richard F. "Dick" Novak, and survived by his siblings, Christine A. Novak (Venetia Hands), Richard S. Novak (Peggy), and Lisa de Burlo (Gilbert Frayer), as well as nephews, nieces, cousins, and housemates. The love from devoted caregivers and staff at Gloucester Men's and Cape Ann Houses and Care Dimensions Hospice made all his last years as wonderful as possible for him. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Northeast ARC, 1 Southside Road, Danvers, MA 01923.Tom's. Memorial service will be held Tuesday, April 9, 2024, 11 a.m. at Rockport Baptist Church, 4 High St., Rockport, MA.
