Vincie A. Rodolosi Obituary

Vincenza A. "Vincie" Rodolosi, 81, adored wife of Daniel J.Rodolosi of Gloucester, peacefully entered eternal rest on Saturday afternoon, January 27, 2024, while surrounded by her loving family.

Born on June 19, 1942, Vincie was the second child of the late Capt. Nicholas and Rosaline (Parisi) Novello. She attended Gloucester schools and later pursued a career as a hairdresser. Vincie initially worked as a fish cutter and packer, but her heart was always in the culinary world, where she spent most of her adult life working at various Cape Ann restaurants, including the beloved Rodolosi family establishment, Captain Courageous.

Beyond her professional pursuits, Vincie's true joy was being a devoted grandmother and great-grandmother. She had an exceptional talent for creating warm, unforgettable moments gathered around the dining room table, where hours melted away amid conversations about family history, the aroma of freshly brewed coffee, and the delight of home-cooked meals.

Vincie's happiest moments were spent in the kitchen, where she became renowned for her delicious "S" cookies. She also enjoyed knitting, puzzles, and crosswords.

In addition to her family commitments, Vincie was an active member of the Mother of Grace Club and the Madonna Del Rosaria Society, reflecting her dedication to her community and faith.

Vincie's memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Daniel; her daughter, Phyllis Sanfilippo, and her children, Sarah Fissette, James, and Julia; her son, Nicholas Rodolosi, his wife Cathy, and theiNovello, ren, Ashley, Nicholas, and Michael; her son, Laurent "Larry" Rodolosi, his wife Tamie, and their children Alisha & V Sevani, Alex, Vanessa, Tyler, Camryn, and Mia; her great-grandchildren, August, Aaliyah, Caleb, and Malcolm; her brothers, Salvatore "Sam" Novello and his wife Catherine, John B. Novello, Nicholas Novello and his wife Cindy; sister-in-law Beverly Novello; sister-in-law Theresa Manninen, brothers-in-law Antoine Rodolosi, Vincent Rodolosi and his wife Diane, and many nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her oldest and dearest friend, Beverly Paniello.

Vincie was predeceased by her parents, her brother Joseph Novello, sister-in-law Lillian Novello, and her daughter-in-law Tracy Rose; her in-laws, Nicola and Filomena Rodolosi, brother-in-law, Laurent "Larry" Rodolosi and wife Katherine "Kay" Rodolosi , and brothers-in-law, Jacques Rodolosi & Robert Manninen.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to Seacoast Nursing Home and the staff of Atlantic Shores Rehabilitation Center for their exceptional care during Vincie's last few weeks, providing comfort and support to both her and the family.

A Memorial Mass in honor of Vincie will be celebrated in St. Ann's Church, Holy Family Parish, at a time and day to be announced. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Gloucester.
