William A. Polloni Obituary
William A. "Bill" Polloni, 88, a lifetime Pigeon Cover, passed away in Lahey Medical Center in Burlington on Sunday, February 6, 2022, after a short illness.
Bill was born in Rockport, in the family home, on November 1, 1933 and lived his whole life there. He was the son of the late Dominic and Della L. (Baldwin) Polloni.
Everybody seemed to know Bill. He had a varied array of jobs throughout his life. He worked on the fish wharf, A&P supermarket, Anadama Bread Company, B.F. Goodrich, worked for 20 years at the Tool Company, the Building Center and as a reserve patrolman for Rockport Police Department for 17 years. When he retired he liked to hang out at Dunkin Donuts and have coffee with the guys.
Bill is survived by many friends who watched over him and loved him. Bill loved dogs and often said he loved them more than humans.
There are no visiting hours. His graveside service will be held in Locust Grove Cemetery in the Lanesville section of Gloucester on Thursday, February 10, 2022 at 10 a.m. Family and friends are cordially invited.

Arrangements are by the Greely Funeral Home, 212 Washington St. Gloucester.
