She was predeceased by: her parents, Andrew Vanderpoel and Ida Vanderpoel (Phinney); and her former husband Ron. She is survived by: her husband Master; her children, Ron Slate Jr. (Phyllis), Linda Hartbarger (Rick) and Kevin Slate (Victoria); her grandchildren, Brenda Jacques (Edward), Jeremy Hartbarger (Jennifer), Rebecca Knowles (John), Alison Slate (Ben), Brien Slate and Kyle Slate; and her great grandchildren, Anna, Ella, Mason, Caden, Ezra and Adele.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 27th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Beers & Story Funeral Homes (646 Newton St, South Hadley, MA 01075). A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the West St. Cemetery (90 West St, Granby, MA 01033).
