He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Jeanne T. Downey (Donoghue); his children, Kathleen McCauley of Roslindale, Elizabeth "Beth" Downey of New Harbor, ME, Sharon Hasrouni (Nabil) of Roslindale and Jeanne-Marie Van Hemmen (Pim) of New Harbor, ME; and his grandchildren, Kathleen "Maddie" McCauley, Fianna Fluess, Helena Van Hemmen, Kees Van Hemmen and Hansa Sabina Van Hemmen.
