He was predeceased by: his parents, Edmund LaChance and Helen LaChance (Rancourt); and his sister Jean Blossom. He is survived by: his wife Gail LaChance (Reddin); his daughters, Charlene LaChance of Deerfield and Kristi LaChance of Deerfield; his grandchildren, Ryan Roberts and Kelsey Gammie (Tyler); his great grandchild Casey Roberts; and his brother Daniel LaChance (Phyllis) of Denver, CO. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
