Robert Vassar Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Robert Vassar (Greenfield, Massachusetts), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 29, 2025 at the age of 81. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Robert Vassar to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George M. Vassar and Reita Vassar (Bitzer); and his wife Margaret "Peg" Vassar. He is survived by: his former wife Anne Vassar (Huppe); his sons, Charles Vassar (Grace) of Greenfield, James Vassar (Laura) of South Deerfield, David Vassar (Kerry) of Greenfield and William Vassar of East Liverpool, OH; his grandchildren, Mari Lou, Faith, Stephanie, Holly, Michelle, Keegan and Viktoria; his great grandchild Cali; and his sister Caroline Warchol (Anthony) of Turners Falls. He is also survived by four daughters, 12 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Greenfield Funeral Home (87 Franklin St, Greenfield, MA 01301). A masonic service will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
