He is survived by: his wife Nancy Silva Bonenfant; his sons, John Bonenfant Jr. (Kim) of Groton, Brian Bonenfant (Joy) of Carlisle and Mark Bonenfant (Jennifer) of Groton; his grandchildren, Ashley, Tyler, Kyle, Matthew, Thomas, Nicholas, Collin and Ella Bonenfant; and his siblings, Carol Nordstrom (Ronald) and Edward Bonenfant (Susan). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations in John's memory may be made to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the Jimmy Fund, 10 Brookline Place West, Brookline, MA 02445.
