He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Douphinette and Alice Douphinette (Hodgon); his wife Claire Douphinette (Lapierre); his daughter Anna Moreau (Douphinette); and his sisters, Barbara Pettipost (Douphinette) and Ruth Bagnall (Douphinette).

He is survived by: his sons, Ronald Douphinette (Laura) of Raymond, Russell Douphinette of Groveland, Alfred "Butch" Douphinette (Diana) of Denmark and Scott Douphinette of Sandown; and his son-in-law Wayne Moreau of Groveland. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Fred's memory.
