He was predeceased by: his parents, Quincy Adams Shaw and Katharine McKean (Winthrop); and his brother John McKean. He is survived by: his wife Sandra McKean (Kanenaka) of Hamilton; his children, Robert W. McKean, Jr. of Boston, John P. McKean of New York and Sarah N. McKean of New York; and his brothers, Thomas and David McKean.
