He was predeceased by: his son James Allbee; and his brother-in-law Jack Martin. He is survived by: his fiancée Sandra Newton; his sister Kathy Martin; his children, Debbie Unger (Brian Unger), Judi Metcalfe (Tim Metcalfe), Cindy Thornton (Domenic Palumbo), Alicia Newton and Derek Newton; and his nephews, Josh Martin and Bryan Martin. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, two great grandchildren.
