He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Sargent (King) and Leon F. Sargent. He is survived by: his wife Dezija Blumit; his children, Lisa Satterwhite (Greg) of Hanover, MA and John Jr. (Susan); his grandchildren, Taylor, Annie and Dailynn Sargent of Hingham; and his siblings, David Sargent and Betsy Vazifdar.
