Bernard Hanlon Jr. Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Bernard Hanlon Jr. (Harwich, Massachusetts), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 5, 2025 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Joan; his parents, Bernard P. Sr. Hanlon and Angela Hanlon; and his sister Rosemary Rathburn. He is survived by: his children, Kathleen, Theresa (Valentina), Maura (Art), Elizabeth and Barney (Michael); his grandchildren, Kristen, Caitlin, Paddo, Seamus and Macklin; his great grandchild Desmond; and his siblings, Angela DuDevoire and Neal Hanlon (Holly). He is also survived by several nieces & nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Chapman Funerals & Cremations - Yarmouth (58 Long Pond Dr, South Yarmouth, MA 02664). A Mass will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Chapel of the St. Francis Xavier Parish (32 Summer St, Yarmouth Port, MA 02675). A committal service will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 12:15 PM at the Island Pond Cemetery (15 Island Pond Rd, Harwich, MA 02645). A burial will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at the same location.
