He was predeceased by: his parents, Lucien Blanchette and Noella Blanchette (Leduc); and his brother Gerard Blanchette. He is survived by: his wife Debra A. Blanchette (Vilensky); his daughters, Danielle McCarthy (Matthew) of Franklin and Renee Blanchette of Waltham; his grandchildren, Brendan, Tessa, Eddie, Kayleigh and Elise; his siblings-in-law, Diane Blanchette, Barbara McDonald (Fred), Mark Vilensky (Stephanie) and Paul Vilensky; and his mother-in-law Olive Vilensky.
A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Mary's Church (310 MA-137, Harwich, MA 02645).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Robert's memory to the MSPCA-Angell Fund.
