Paul Lapinski Sr. Obituary

We announce the death of Paul Lapinski Sr. of Hatfield, Massachusetts, who passed away on September 23, 2026, at the age of 87. Paul will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Alexander Lapinski and Grace Lapinski (Ropelewski); and his siblings, Alex, Bob Lapinski and Natalie Patterson.

He is survived by: his close friend John Merz of Hatfield; his wife Barbara A. Lapinski (Hill); his children, Paul J. Lapinski, Jr. of Greenfield, MA, Kim M. Getchell (Bill) of La Luz, NM and Katherine A. Thelen of Haydenville, MA; his grandchildren, Jessica Thelen (Nick), Sarah Thelen (Brandon), Bryana Funk (Brandon) and David Getchell; his great grandchildren, Kubilay Getchell, Brooke and Ocean Funk; and his sister Adele A. Lachowicz of East Longmeadow, MA. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
