March 24, 1938 - November 22, 2017 Drucilla P. "Dru" Dekeon, 79, of Bradford passed away Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at the High Pointe Hospice House in Haverhill with her family by her side. She was born in Morristown, NJ on March 24, 1938, daughter of the late Willis and Norma (Nickett) Pheil. Dru was educated in the Haverhill Public Schools, graduating from Haverhill High School with the class of 1956.

She was employed for over 20 years for the Haverhill school department as an administrative assistant. Dru had many friends and was loved by all. She had a strong faith and was a former member of the First Baptist Church in Haverhill, the O.E.S. Fidelity Chapter 90, the Philoptochos Society and ELPIS of the Holy Apostles Church Saints Peter & Paul.

Dru, above all else, loved her children and grandchildren, enjoying time spent with family and her Sunday dinners with everyone. Being with family was most important and she especially enjoyed spending time with them at her summer home in Camp Ellis, Maine. She loved gardening at her Maine home, notably her flower garden, and was a Redsox and Patriots fan.

She traveled extensively in the U.S. and Europe including Italy and Greece, wintered in Deerfield Beach, FL and her "home away from home" in Camp Ellis Maine for 38 years. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, her high school sweetheart George Dekeon; children Dr. Lisa D. Dekeon and her husband George Bonnes of Glenwood, NY, George Dekeon, Jr. of Haverhill; Christopher Dekeon of Haverhill; Norma Jean and her husband Joseph Gore of E. Wakefield, NH and Mary K. and her husband Robert DiBurro of Boxford; sister Nancy Boucher of Amesbury; brother Richard Nansel and his wife Patricia of Bradford; 7 grandchildren George Dekeon, III and his wife Alyssa, Anastasia and her husband Andrew Levasseur, Ariana Dekeon, Ryan Dekeon, Alexandra Andrews, Brenden DiBurro and Damon DiBurro; 2 great grandchildren Iris Levasseur and Bryson George Dekeon; as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her sister and brother-in-law Carol and Harvey Pothier and her brother-in-law Roland Boucher. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the calling hours on Monday, Nov. 27th from 4-7 PM at the H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Home, 106 Summer St. Haverhill. Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 28th beginning at 10:00 at the funeral home followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church, 217 Main St. Haverhill.

Interment will be in the Linwood Cemetery, Haverhill. Contributions in her memory may be made to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, P.O. BOX 849168, Boston, MA 02284-9168 or to the High Pointe Hospice House, 360 North Ave. Haverhill, MA 01830.
