He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas J. Long and Maureen Long (Sharkey); and his sister Gertrude "Gig" Kelleher. He is survived by: his sons, Eric Long (Kelly) of Littleton and Brian Long (Sylvia) of Severn, MD; his granddaughters, Ava and Mary Long; his brothers, Thomas "Sharky" Long and John "Pidge" Long; and his sister-in-law Ruth Long-Taylor (Erickson).
