Woelfel (Jane) of Centerville, MA, Brian J. Woelfel (Eileen) of Haverhill, Dennis W. Woelfel (Stephanie) of Jupiter, FL, Kevin R. Woelfel (Kerry) of Haverhill, Daniel R. Woelfel of Haverhill, Thomas P. Woelfel (Tammy) of Salem, NH, Timothy P. Woelfel (Roberta) of Lowell, Patrick J. Woelfel (Karen) of Wheaton, IL, Mark H. Woelfel (Kelli) of Franklin, Mary E. Woelfel of Haverhill and John R. Woelfel (Sheila) of Hampton, NH; and his grandchildren, Tyler, Emily, Ryan, Cassidy, Dylan, Eliza, Matthew, Evan, Olivia, Lily and Molly. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family has established a memorial scholarship in his name to benefit deserving student-athletes from Haverhill High School.

“I am so saddened to hear this news today. Mike was my college roommate for our Sophomore and Junior year. We did a lot together in college ... many PC basketball games together at PC and on the road, Fenway Park, working PIZZA, SODA, GRINDERS nightly, the Animal softball championship team, the fabled Spring Break Fort Lauderdale trip in my powder blue Pontiac LeMans convertible with the two of us and Jack "Killer" Kowalski, plus so many more memories.
