He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur T. Duchesne and Ida E. Duchesne (Aubrey). He is survived by: his children, Robert Stephen Duchesne, Michael Joseph Duchesne, Susan Marie Melo and Gayle Ann Duchesne; and his wife Kay. He is also survived by his 6 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

Memorial donations may be made in Robert's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
