He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Dolloff Saunders and June Dion (Guerin Saunders); his stepfather Roland Dion; his sisters, Ruthann Carlisle and Nancy Comeau; and his son Richard Saunders.
He is survived by: his significant other Jack Ferrick; his children, Stephen Saunders (Susan) of Chatham, MA, Pamela LaCroix (Joseph) of Hampton, NH, Mark Saunders (Joanne) of Salem, NH and Danielle Saunders (Sherryl DeBlois) of Haverhill, MA.; his grandchildren, Sarah, Kristin, Christopher, Shane, Leah, Ryan, Brendan, Daniel, Richard and Samantha; and also Patricia Jean Saunders (Girard). He is also survived by his eighteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 5th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Dole, Childs & Shaw Funeral Home (148 Main St, Haverhill, MA 01830).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
