He was predeceased by: his parents, Socrates Stamateas and Evangelia Stamateas (Safioleas); and his daughter Evangelia Stamateas. He is survived by: his wife Maria Stamateas (Kammas); his son Socrates V. Stamateas (Helen) of Merrimac; his grandsons, Venetsianos S. and Christos; and his sister Panayiota Yannakoureas. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, brothers- and sisters-in-law.
