With sadness, we share the passing of Eleanor J. Atherton of Hingham, Massachusetts. Eleanor, born on June 12, 1933 in Kingston, Massachusetts, passed away on October 9, 2026. Family, friends, and acquaintances remember Eleanor for her warmth, thoughtfulness, and the moments shared together. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lillian Elizabeth Lawrence (Hoetger) and Raymond Walter Lawrence; and her brother Donald Raymond of Kingston, N. Y.. She is survived by: her children, Steven Dean of Worcester, MA, Brian Scott of Edmond, OK and Gail Ann of New York City, N. Y.. She is also survived by three grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home (21 Emerald St, Hingham, MA 02043). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home - Hingham (21 Emerald St, Hingham, MA 02043).
