It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gerson Philip Rafer of Hingham, Massachusetts, who passed away on May 23, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. As Gerson Philip departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Gerson Philip. Though Gerson Philip may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Dora Rafer (Solomon) and Arthur Rafer; and his spouse Maris Ann Rafer (Lambros). He is survived by: his son Neil Scott Rafer of San Francisco, CA.; his grandchild Sage; and his sibling Beverly Rothstein.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 at 11:45 AM at the Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home (40 MacArthur Blvd, Bourne, MA 02532). A burial was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 at the Massachusetts National Cemetery.
